Samsung to Launch ‘Mini’ Galaxy S III With 4-Inch Display

Smaller, more reasonably sized smartphones are a trend we’d like to see take off, and Samsung — the top proliferator of oversized handsets — may actually help the cause. On Wednesday, the Korean news website iNews24 reported that JK Shin, the head of Samsung’s mobile division, said the company would unveil a “mini” Galaxy S III in Germany on Thursday.

The device will reportedly sport a 4-inch display, a size that is in high demand in Europe, Shin told iNews24, according to a translation. That also happens to be the screen size of Apple’s new iPhone 5.

Aside from size, Shin didn’t share any specs, although the German website Mobile Geeks is reporting that the mini’s internals will fail to live up to the device’s flagship branding, with a disappointingly low 800 x 480 resolution screen and a 1GHz dual-core CPU, instead of the 1.5GHz dual-core chip found in the U.S. version of the S III or the quad-core chip found in the S III’s European and Asian variants.

Most flagship Android handsets nowadays sport touchscreens of about 4.5 inches or larger. The Galaxy S III features a 4.8-inch display, the HTC One X has a 4.7-inch screen, and the LG Intuition touts a 5-inch display. Samsung’s also pushed larger phones with its 5.3-inch Galaxy Note and upcoming 5.5-inch Galaxy Note II.

If you’re not into iPhones and the low-end specs of a mini S III aren’t speaking to your soul, there is a bit of hope to be found in Motorola’s Razr M, which features a 4.3-inch display that feels more like a 4-incher thanks to a thinner screen bezel and slim profile.

Now there is another way of doing it but the results are different.

If you want to show only title of posts in your blog home page also,then only follow this way and implemet it.If you want only label page to show post title just get stoppd after reading first way only.

Now the second way to show only post title in blogger home page too.

1.Login to Blogger
2.Go To LAYOUT
3.Then Click On Edit HTML
4.Check Mark EXpand Widgets
5.Press Ctrl+F

Now search for this line:    <p><data:post.body/></p>

After finding this line replace it with below codes:

This will show only post title on all pages of blogger including homepage label and archive pages.
One of my reader asked to show post title only in archive pages so i am placing code for him
Just use these codes to replace the above red line in place of above codes.

And if you dont want to use post titles in archive pages use archive in place of index in above codes that's the only word making basic difference between the codes.

*Note-If you are using read more hack in your blogger you will get above red line twice.So replace only the line that appears first in your blog html code and leave second one as it is.

And then preview your template,if its ok. Save It.

All of these phones run on AT&T's super-fast LTE network, which the carrier has been expanding aggressively recently. The network is available in 72 markets, and AT&T is aiming for 100 by the end of the year. Most major U.S. cities should be covered by then. In our Fastest Mobile Network tests earlier this year, we found that AT&T's LTE network had the fastest download speeds of any U.S. carrier.

We've heard less about the other big carriers' plans for the fall, but here's what we do know: Verizon is getting HTC's Windows Phone 8X and possibly the 8S, along with Motorola's Droid Razr HD and Razr Maxx $99.99 at Amazon Wireless and the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. Sprint is getting the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and LG Optimus G. T-Mobile will pick up the 8X, maybe the 8S, and the Galaxy Note 2. MetroPCS is getting the already-successful Samsung Galaxy S III. However, while the service itself is really simple the choice of desktop Twitter software isn't. From stripped-down clients to do-everything social media dashboards, there are stacks of Twitter programs to choose from.

So which ones are best? Here are 22 options for 2012.


1. Twitter (Web, OS X)

The official Twitter website is a marmite affair: some people hate it, while others really hate it. The free OS X client is a much nicer effort, though, with tweets and direct messages and multiple accounts in a small tabbed window that looks rather like an instant messaging app. It's the closest thing to a mobile Twitter app we've seen on the desktop.

2. Twitterific (OS X)

The Iconfactory's Twitter app normally costs $9, but Twitterific is currently half price on the Mac App Store and there's a stripped-down free version to play with too. Like the official Twitter app it resembles a mobile app — you can sync between it and your iPhone and iPad versions — but there are additional features including easy translation of foreign-language tweets, multiple account support, keyboard shortcuts, multiple windows (in the paid version) and a choice of light or dark themes.

3. Echofon (Windows, OS X, Firefox)

Echofon is available for almost everything: there are iPhone and iPad apps, a Firefox extension and desktop versions for Mac and Windows. The free version is ad-supported, and going ad-free is a reasonable $9.99. The desktop apps sync effortlessly with their mobile siblings, support multiple accounts and include a nifty Detail Window that enables you to easily see entire conversations and user details. The Mac version also has drag and drop attachments and what Echofon calls a "super clean interface".

4. Janetter (Windows, OS X)

Janetter claims to be the best Twitter client on the net, and while that claim's open to debate it's certainly one of the more flexible apps out there. There's a multi-column view, support for multiple accounts, 27 different themes, customisable fonts and display formats, wallpaper, notifications, autocomplete, keyboard shortcuts and language translation. If you're using the Windows version you can even create your own themes in HTML.

5. Tweetings (Windows, OS X)

Tweetings is another multi-platform client with versions for iPhone, iPad, Google's Chrome browser, Windows and OS X. The Mac version's nicer than the Windows one, but both offer a decent selection of features including device synchronisation, filters, scheduled tweets and Twitlonger support for when 140 characters aren't enough. The Mac version is £1.99 and the Windows and Chrome versions are free.

6. Echelon (OS X)

Echelon would be better described as a Twitter viewer than a Twitter client: it enables you to see what people are talking about, one tweet at a time. It's an interesting little diversion, but it's strictly read-only: if you want to post, you'll need a different program.

7. Hibari (OS X)

This chat software-inspired Twitter client "aims to make your timeline as useful as possible by blocking annoyances and revealing gems". There's easy keyword blocking, the ability to mute users without unfollowing them, threaded conversations, inline saved search results and an option to hide specific tweets if you find them annoying or offensive. The app is $9.99, but you can download a free trial from the Hibari website.

8. Destroy Twitter (Windows, OS X, Linux)

This Adobe AIR app is one for power users with an interface that's as big or as small as you want it to be: you can go full-screen and multi-column or tuck it away in a corner of the desktop. Destroy Twitter boasts an excellent range of filters, lots of customisation options, username autocompletion, nice notifications and a small memory footprint.

Facebook is rolling out a service called Gifts which, as its name suggests, lets users send chocolate, coffee, socks and other real-life presents to one another.

Facebook Gifts launched Thursday to a subset of users in the U.S. and will roll out to more over the coming months as people begin to send gifts to each other.Users will be able to click on a "gifts" icon on their Facebook friends' pages on Android mobile or Facebook website

The icon will also show up on the right side of users' Facebook pages with the notifications for friends' birthdays, weddings and other life events.
